Born in Boulder, Colorado, Anna moved to Nova Scotia with her family when she was 9 years old. She has spent most of her time since then on the family farm, working in the certified organic market gardens, growing vegetables and selling at the farmers market in Halifax.
She has received a Permaculture Design Certificate from Midwest Permaculture, completed courses in carpentry, straw bale construction and wind turbine building. Since early childhood she has been an avid lover of horses and has studied Dressage and other styles of riding.
She knows that change on a massive scale is underway, and that we, as Nova Scotians and citizens of our planet, can learn to live in our world in a sane and sustainable way. We can learn to grow the food we need, repair our environment, design green buildings, invest in renewable energy, run successful, people oriented businesses and lead meaningful and authentic lives while building genuine communities.
